Latina Voice in Dialogue with Literacy

This study follows the literacy experiences of four Latina middle schoolers as they read Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird and compose home language narratives in their heritage voices. Both vibrant ethnic cultures other intersecting rays identities are analyzed vein literate identities. Through analysis writing speech, girls present hybridized on border between languages. Their position social world school discussed how transactions with can dialogically influence those to enact critically conscious pedagogy.
